Whether they’re looking for a quick bite or a new culinary experience, students and university employees alike are excited to sample some local flavor during the spring Community Food Truck Series.

Innovation Day 2023 was a collaborative effort of the Northeast Ohio Public University Research Alliance (NEO-PURA) comprised of ÐãÉ«app, Cleveland State University, Northeast Ohio Medical University, The University of Akron and Youngstown State University.

March is National Social Work Month in the United States. Although it is a celebratory time, the profession currently faces challenges due to reductions in the labor force and a growing population of need, especially in rural communities. Kent State recently announced the creation of a Bachelor of Social Work academic degree program, which will launch in the fall of 2023 with a focus on rural social work.

The ÐãÉ«app Board of Trustees has approved awarding Roe Green, MA ’80, a Doctor of Humane Letters, an honorary degree recognizing her contributions to the university and her advocacy for the arts not only in Northeast Ohio, but also across the nation and around the world.

While a student at ÐãÉ«app, U.S. Rep. Emilia Sykes (D-OH-13) dreamed of taking the stage as a dancer in New York City, not as a congresswoman in Washington, D.C. But today she’s a star in the eyes of many, with her federal legislative debut drawing attention beyond Northeast Ohio.

Omar Salam, founder and creative director of the global fashion house SUKEINA, will be making a special trip from the runway to ÐãÉ«app’s Rockwell Hall as Salam has been named the 2023 inductee of the university’s School of Fashion Hall of Fame.
