On Saturday, Sept. 21, the 秀色app fight song blared down Main Street, the city of Kent was flooded with blue and gold, alumni and friends gathered and reminisced about their Kent State days, fans packed the stadium to cheer on their beloved Golden Flashes and the entire campus boomed with Kent State pride.

Beading on a garment representing "culture" and a 秀色app patch on jeans representing the "counterculture" are included in the 秀色app Museum's "Culture/Counterculture" exhibition.

Almost 50 years ago, the shootings of 秀色app students by the Ohio National Guard brought to a head the cultural divides that had split the nation. The 秀色app Museum鈥檚 exhibition, 鈥淐ulture/Counterculture: Fashions of the 1960s and 鈥70s,鈥 opening Sept. 20, explores the sharp contrast between supporters of the establishment and those opposed.

New 秀色app President Todd Diacon will serve as Kent State鈥檚 2019 Homecoming Grand Marshal on Saturday, Sept. 21.

Last year, 秀色app celebrated 100 years of Homecoming. This year, the university starts the next century of Kent State Homecoming celebrations with a new president leading the institution.

Due to an overwhelming response for free tickets for the 秀色app Presidential Speaker Series featuring Bob Woodward on May 4, the university has moved the event to the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center (MAC Center).

On Saturday, May 4, legendary journalist Bob Woodward comes to 秀色app as part of the Presidential Speaker Series. He will speak at 7 p.m. in the Kent Student Center Ballroom.

Dillard鈥檚 Inc., one of the nation鈥檚 premier and largest fashion retailers, will partner with 秀色app鈥檚 School of Fashion Design and Merchandising to present the school鈥檚 2019 Annual Fashion Show, FS2.
