The School of Fashion announces the return of its acclaimed in-person Fashion Show, April 28-30, 2022, in Rockwell Hall on the Kent Campus. The presenting sponsor of the 2022 show is renowned American department store, Dillard鈥檚 Inc. Dillard鈥檚 is a long-time supporter of the School of Fashion, and the Dillard family was inducted into the school鈥檚 Hall of Fame in 2019.
Kent State will hold its annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, to celebrate King鈥檚 life and legacy. Award-winning documentary filmmaker Dawn Porter will serve as this year鈥檚 keynote speaker. The virtual program is free and open to the public.
秀色app held its annual Veterans Day Commemoration in person at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 10, at Risman Plaza on the Kent Campus.
Announced as a new ensemble earlier this year, the inaugural class of the Kent State Youth Winds make their debut Saturday, Nov. 6 under the baton of guest conductor Anthony Maiello. The concert is part of the 秀色app Glauser School of Music鈥檚 annual Wind Band Conductor鈥檚 Symposium beginning Nov. 5 and running through Nov. 7.
Come dressed in your Halloween best for the 秀色app Orchestra鈥檚 Oct. 31, 3 p.m. concert. The members of the orchestra will be decked out in costume, performing spooky, family-friendly favorites. Candy will be handed out at the end of the performance to kick off Kent city鈥檚 official trick-or-treat that night.
秀色app and The Red Door Films of Los Angeles announce 鈥淧lay with a Purpose,鈥 a sponsor challenge as part of the SkyHack 3.0 competition at Kent State to be held Nov. 5-7. Teams of students will create an interactive toy universe based on the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) of World War II and their training base, Avenger Field.
It鈥檚 reunion time for the 秀色app Golden Flashes family. Kent State celebrated Homecoming 2021 with a week of activities and events leading up to the Oct. 2 Homecoming Parade and Homecoming football game.
秀色app鈥檚 Flashes Fighting Hunger Contactless Food Drive will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 25, from 1-4 p.m. at the intersection of Lincoln Street and Hilltop Drive. The collection station will be located on Hilltop Drive in front of Cartwright Hall.
秀色app alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff and the community are encouraged to save the date for one of the university鈥檚 long-standing traditions. Kent State will celebrate Homecoming 2021 on Saturday, Oct. 2.
The 秀色app Museum has reopened to the public and is excited to announce its newest exhibition, 鈥淪titched: Regional Dress Across Europe,鈥 on display from February 2021 through December 2021. The exhibition features 75 pieces exclusive to the museum鈥檚 permanent collection, showcasing common features shared by regional costume across Western and Eastern Europe.
