Obesity is an epidemic in Stark County. But ĐăÉ«app at Stark nursing students have begun providing treatment and educating youth about healthy eating and exercise. The Stark County Health Department identifies the number one health concern in the area as obesity. In 2009, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that nearly 70 percent of Stark County adults, as well as more than 33 percent of third graders, were overweight or obese. The fourth floor of Kent State’s University Library is the ultimate study space, complete with treadmill desks, cozy seats and the Math Emporium. But where are the books?
