New Kent State graduates smile while holding their degrees after their commencement ceremony in August 2021.

The 秀色app alumni family grew by nearly 1,300 new graduates as the university held its summer commencement. The accomplishments of the Summer Class of 2021 were recognized with in-person, outdoor commencement ceremonies and a virtual commencement ceremony for all colleges and degrees on Aug. 21.

Chic Canfora Speaking at Events

This fall, 秀色app and its College of Communication and Information (CCI) will welcome Roseann 鈥淐hic鈥 Canfora, Ph.D., as a Professional-in-Residence in the School of Media and Journalism.

Kent Student Center

Parents and students with questions about the upcoming fall semester were able to talk with university leaders Aug. 17 via a virtual town hall on Zoom. Many questions focused on the university's response to COVID-19 and testing requirements as students, faculty and staff return to campus.

Campus Members Celebrate Homecoming

Among colleges and universities that made this year鈥檚 list, Kent State comes in at No. 8. Only 18 institutions of higher education are recognized.

Tokyo Olympics opening ceremony

Five 秀色app graduates will compete at the delayed 2020 Tokyo Olympics over the coming weeks, breaking the school鈥檚 previous record of four Olympians at the Munich Games in 1972.

秀色app has landed a spot on the list of top schools for military-connected students according to the 2021 Military Times Best for Vets: Colleges.

秀色app Athletics has announced all sports facilities, including Dix Stadium, the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center (MAC Center) and Murphy-Mellis Field, will be at full capacity for the fall 2021 sport season.

Deborah F. Spake, Ph.D., dean of 秀色app鈥檚 College of Business Administration, has been named a 2021 recipient of the American Marketing Association (AMA) Marketing for Higher Education Special Interest Group (Higher Ed SIG) Lifetime Achievement Award.

Grace Irvin-Dillard of Bedford, Ohio, who graduated from 秀色app in May 2021 with a degree in entrepreneurship, has already built a successful business from the ground up while still a student.
