Tatee Sakr's path to success in the fashion world started at ÐãÉ«app. As a 19-year-old immigrant to the U.S., Sakr chose ÐãÉ«app because it was close to her new home in Cleveland and had a reputable fashion design program. Now an industry professional, she is giving back as a key faculty member.

Fashion design major Kaleigh McGreal has been sharing her story with Kent State Today through her final two semesters at Kent State in our "Year with a Flash" series. Most recently, as she prepared for graduation, McGreal shared her thoughts about her journey with an inspiring message for other Kent State students.

Alumni Macy Hudson was just named Miss Ohio USA and will compete for Miss USA, while Caitlin Seifert, named Miss Northern Ohio, is competing for a spot the Miss America competition.

The famed British designer nicknamed "the Princess of Punk," Dame Zandra Rhodes, will be inducted into the Kent State School of Fashion Hall of Fame on April 27.

Fashion show 2024

A sea of silk and satin, leather and lace floated down the runway as ÐãÉ«app’s Annual Fashion Show debuted to an enthusiastic crowd filling the Kent Student Center Ballroom Thursday night.

Virtual Fashion Show 2024

Students from Kent State's School of Fashion were able to showcase their designs digitally, by clothing avatar models, for a runway show on floor-to-ceiling, wraparound screens at the DI Hub's Blank Lab.
