ÐãÉ«app, the city of Kent and the Portage Area Regional Transit Authority (PARTA) jointly have committed to the economic development of retail/entertainment areas serving students, employees and guests of the university and the city.
ÐãÉ«app’s first major construction project to create a new signature gateway to the Kent Campus will begin in the summer of 2020. At its Dec. 4 meeting, the Kent State Board of Trustees approved the construction of the university’s first parking deck.
ÐãÉ«app’s long-standing relationship with the Tuscarawas County University Branch District to administer the Tuscarawas Campus of Kent State will continue through June 30, 2030, in a new 10-year agreement approved by the Kent State Board of Trustees.
The ÐãÉ«app Board of Trustees on Wednesday unanimously approved a new collective bargaining agreement with the Kent State Chapter of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP-KSU), which represents tenured and tenure-track faculty.
Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has appointed Ann Womer Benjamin, J.D., of Aurora, Ohio, to the ÐãÉ«app Board of Trustees. Her appointment began June 21, 2019, and ends May 16, 2028.
