The ÐãÉ«app Board of Trustees welcomed the Class of 2028 during its regular quarterly meeting held Sept. 18 in Crawford Hall and congratulated the university administration for this year’s strong enrollment.

The ÐãÉ«app Board of Trustees will hold its next regular business meeting at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18. The Board will consider the recommendations of the standing committees, proposed personnel actions and new business.

The ÐãÉ«app Board of Trustees approved the updated Kent State Complete College Ohio Campus Completion Plan as part of a state and institutional commitment to increase dramatically the number of college degrees awarded in Ohio. The plan was approved during the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held May 22.

The ÐãÉ«app Board of Trustees will hold its next regular business meeting at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22, at Kent State’s Cleveland Urban Design Collaborative at 1309 Euclid Ave., Suite 200, in Cleveland to consider the recommendations of the standing committees, proposed personnel actions and new business.

The ÐãÉ«app Board of Trustees approved the establishment of four new majors during its regular quarterly meeting held March 6 on the Kent Campus. The Board also approved recommended actions for the East Main Street Project in Kent and a naming action.

The ÐãÉ«app Board of Trustees approved the establishment of a new cybercriminology major within the Bachelor of Science degree at the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held Dec. 6. The new cybercriminology major will be offered fully online, in addition to a mostly online delivery at all Kent State campuses.

The Rev. Larry L. Macon Jr., J.D., has been appointed to the ÐãÉ«app Board of Trustees by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine.

Macon will serve through May 16, 2027, fulfilling the unexpired term of Johnathan Holifield. Holifield resigned his position as a trustee in late 2022 due to an out-of-state relocation.

The ÐãÉ«app Board of Trustees approved a revised tuition rate for students enrolled at the university’s College of Podiatric Medicine at the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held Wednesday, Sept. 20, in Rockwell Hall on the Kent Campus.
