Sitting in her high school calculus class senior year, it all clicked for Ashley Meinke. Math was her passion. Fast-forward to today, Meinke is in her 11th year teaching mathematics at Perry High School and is active with the school’s Math Club. Kent State archaeologists Drs. Metin I. Eren and Michelle R. Bebber, in collaboration with colleagues Dr. Justin Pargeter (NYU), Dr. Mike Fisch (Aeronautics & Engineering, Kent State), and Dr. Briggs Buchanan (University of Tulsa), have won a senior-level National Science Foundation (NSF) grant for their proposal, "Collaborative Research: Does prehistoric stone tool 'backing' result in improved adhesion?"
