The Pike Courier reports that EHHS grad Melissa “Missy†Ramsey Revesz, BS ’15, Hermitage, PA –  (KSU Field Hockey) is inducted into the Delaware Valley High School Hall of Fame.Revesz is a 2011 graduate of Delaware Valley High School, where she earned six varsity letters in field hockey and soccer, and was named Second Team All-State in field hockey her junior and senior years. I joined Kent State on the first day of classes in 2017 after serving eight years at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, where I was known as the Chief Storyteller in the Community Relations Department. I began working at the Fed after a 25-year career as a newspaper reporter, 14 of which I spent at The Plain Dealer, where I covered government, schools, social services and minority affairs, among many other topics. I've also worked at newspapers in Kansas City, Belleville, Illinois, and Arlington Texas.

Pool Kayak Session

New kayakers can come learn kayaking skills. Experienced kayakers can practice their skills. Participants may bring their own boats via the loading dock stairs and back entrance as long as the boats are FULLY CLEANED before entering the pool. If you don’t own a boat, one will be provided for you to use. Pre-registration IS REQUIRED by the Wednesday before each program. Cost: $7

Yoga Glow Workshop

Come shine with us! You will start with learning to mix and pour your own uniquely scented candle. While those are cooling, you will be led through a relaxing multilevel yoga class with one of our amazing instructors.
Cost: Student $10, Member $15, Non-member $20

Wellness Wednesday

Free weekly event every Wednesday during the academic year providing wellness education, interactive activities, and giveaways. Participants do not need to be present the entire time.

Pause for Puppies: Holiday Edition

Join Kent State RecWell instructors and Freedom Paws for the return of our Pause for Puppies yoga events. Take time out of your day for photo ops with the puppies, a puppy “Kissing Booth†and, of course, Puppy Yoga. This event is a fundraiser for the Kent State Freedom Paws organization. Your donations will go directly towards the dogs living and medical expenses while they are in “schoolâ€. This event will fill up fast, so be sure to register ahead of time to reserve your spot. IF POSSIBLE, PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN MAT.

This two-and-a-half hour program covers the basics of indoor climbing including equipment, bouldering, top rope climbing, and belaying with an ATC and Gri-gri device. This program sets up an individual with no prior experience to take our belay test which is required when purchasing a climbing wall membership. School's Out Adventures

Spend the day off of school with the KSU Adventure Center TEAL program. TEAL stands for Trips of Experiential & Adventure Learning. Your child will take a trip to KSU to spend their day learning about themselves, others, and nature doing things like rock climbing, teambuilding, high ropes, making crafts, shooting archery, kayaking in our pool, and more! Activities will be age-appropriate (K - 5th graders welcome) and hands-on. Bring a swimsuit, towel, lunch, and snacks. Contact clukas@kent.edu with any questions.
