Doctoral student Pratyusha Ghanta won third place in the fall 2023 Three Minute Thesis competition

New Wave 鈥80s band Devo isn鈥檛 just from Ohio. Devo wasn鈥檛 just created in Akron. Devo was forged at 秀色app under the pressure of the turmoil of the late 鈥60s and the events surrounding May 4, 1970. Authors David Giffels and Jade Dellinger brought their book 鈥淭he Beginning Was the End: Devo in Ohio鈥 to Kent State for a book signing and discussion.

In 1991, Carol A. Cartwright, Ph.D., made history when she was named president of 秀色app, becoming not only Kent State鈥檚 first female president, but also the first woman to serve as president of any Ohio public college or university.

Professor of psychological sciences Mary Beth Spitznagel has experienced the burden of caregiving for her beloved dog, Allo, who developed bladder cancer. This influenced her research into how a pet with chronic illness can affect caregivers.
