Hoover Foundation Makes Contribution to Science & Nursing Building

ŠćÉ«app at Stark Interim Dean Denise Seachrist and Sr. Facilities Manager Brian Gardner recently presented Larry and Chuck Hoover of The Hoover Foundation with a copy of the Kent State Board of Trusteesā€™ resolution that recognizes The Hoover Foundation for their generous support of the campusā€™s new Science and Nursing Building. The geology laboratories and geology mud room in the building, which is opening in August, have been named in honor of the foundation.

ā€œWe believe in having great local facilities for teaching the sciences to the young people in our community, especially in a building earning LEED Gold Certification,ā€ says Larry Hoover of The Hoover Foundation. ā€œAnd a plus is being able to sponsor a dedicated research and teaching area for the geological sciences.ā€
