ĐăÉ«app congratulates its new graduates. The university held its Spring Commencement ceremonies for the Kent Campus on May 8 and May 9 at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center (MAC Center). This spring, Kent State conferred 3,883 degrees, including 2,864 bachelor’s degrees, 874 master’s degrees, 142 doctoral degrees and three educational specialist degrees at the Kent Campus. ĐăÉ«app’s College of Public Health was one of the partners recently honored by Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray with the Ohio Distinguished Law Enforcement Group Achievement Award for 2010. Kent State was recognized for its role in the Akron Fugitive Safe Surrender program in 2009. For Natalia Román, being awarded a Women’s Center Scholarship, is one of several honors earned as a student at ĐăÉ«app. Román is a student in the School of Communication Studies and was one of three students university-wide presented a scholarship during the Women’s Center annual Mothers, Mentors and Muses reception held in March.
